I need a variety of ideas as to how i can promote a gym start-up. The advertising options should cost effective cause i dont have a lot of money to spare.

your customers are your best advertisers start a customer loyalty program wherein you give a discount to the customer who brings in new client (after he or she enrolls as customer) i think this will work
Reply:Give gym t-shirts and car window stickers to your current members. If they wear and stick them that is great advertising. Avoid giving t-shirts to members who are not in good shape. You may want to consider not printing large sizes as an excuse. I know it sounds bad, but business is business.

Everybody that works out is compettetive in nature.
Everyone like prizes.
And everytime someone looks at what the prize is youll get your name out to one more person.

Reply:For one you can make your own flyers and post them around youself. Business cards are free, less s/h at Vista Print. You can put them in places as well.
