Is online advertising better than offline alternatives(TVC, RADIO, PRINT ADS)?

Hi, im doing a research to find out why online advertising is better than offline alternatives. Anyone got any ideas to share? One of the factors i can compare is the price vs effectiveness. example : TVC really cost alot just to get your products on screen for 30 sec.

Is online advertising better than offline alternatives(TVC, RADIO, PRINT ADS)?
One of the advantages to advertising online is the capabilities to track the ad and the resulting sales.
Reply:online advertising would also employ capital equal or more than t.v. Offline medium demands product very fast as compared to online.First u need to switch on newspapers, radio and magazines..I suggest after your reputed business earns profitability go on bulky advertising and then to online Report It

Reply:Online is becoming increasing popular as people tend to sway away from the traditional media. The internet is the new medium through which people are communicating. It's cheap and fairly new to advertise online. Online advertising will increase over the years as we see an explosion with even more people choosing the web to communicate with one another.

Reply:it might be cost affective to do online but off is still the best. Why do you think they would pay so much to get their ads on the Super Bowl. cause people are watching and its direct. The net you have to know what key word are going to bring the customer. online you hope you have the right ones.
Reply:I would say that traditional methods of advertising are still a notch ahead, but on-line advertising might also be more effective depending on the target groups you want to reach and the nature of your service or product.

I agree that TV, radio ads are more direct because they have a broader ''reach'' IE; the whole family watch TV, and in a family you have many sub groups like stay-at-home-mom,career husband, school kids, teenagers. That's why TV ads charge higher rates..

Whereas, on-line advertising can also be effective if u are a consulting firm, offer B2B services because these are professional services or products, and many professionals make use of Internet in their career fields.

Conclusion: On-line advertising are really sensible for target advertising, because in other cases many of your clients might not be into internet that much. But the future is bright that it''s taking over!
